Subcontractor Prequalification
Every subcontractor who works on a Copper Mountain Builders project goes through this prequalification before receiving their first invitation to bid. It protects our clients, our jobsites, our crews, and our reputation as a premium builder in the Flathead Valley.
Before You Start
Gather your COI naming CMB as additional insured (CG 20 10 and CG 20 37), your current W-9, MT DLI contractor registration, and any trade licenses. The form takes about 20 minutes to complete with documents in hand.
What We Verify
We confirm contractor registration, trade licenses, and insurance directly with the issuing authority and carrier. We call your three client references and two supplier references using a standardized script.
Timeline
Review typically takes 5 to 10 business days from the time we have your complete form and supporting documents. We will email you when you are added to the approved bidder pool.
Please complete every field. Incomplete forms will be returned for completion before review begins. If you have questions about any section, contact our office at (406) 471-1165 or info@coppermountainbuilders.com.
Required documents to have ready: Certificate of Insurance (COI), current W-9, MT DLI contractor registration certificate, trade license(s) if applicable, and written safety program if you have one.
Your information stays with Copper Mountain Builders. We use it only to evaluate you for our approved subcontractor pool and verify the credentials you have provided. We do not sell, share, or distribute your business information to third parties.
Copper Mountain Builders is an equal opportunity contractor. Subcontractor selection is based on capability, licensing, insurance, references, and pricing — not on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
