How It Works
Our Build Process
From first call to final walkthrough — here's what working with CMB looks like.
01
Site Visit
We visit your site to take measurements, assess scope, review code requirements, and identify any potential complications — before a dollar is spent.
02
Design & Estimate
We review your vision, desired materials, and any plans you have. Drawings and engineering follow. A detailed estimate is produced.
03
Contract & Permits
Once you approve the estimate, we draft your contract, collect the initial deposit, and handle all permitting.
04
Build & Deliver
Our in-house crew handles construction with regular site visits to ensure quality. We order all materials — you focus on the vision.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens during a site visit?
Before starting construction, someone from our team will visit the potential site to gather necessary information for financial estimates and drawings. This may include preliminary measurements, code review, and assessing the scope of project, potential safety issues, and any unforeseen complications.
What necessary steps can I expect before building starts?
After the initial site visit, our team will review your vision, desired materials, and any plans you have. If plans are needed, we have a draftsman or architect draw them, then our engineer verifies they're buildable. After approval of the project estimate, a contract is drafted and initial deposit requested. We then move on to permitting.
What is the price per square foot?
We individually price every project based on the materials used and labor for that specific scenario. We do not use standardized square foot pricing — every project is unique and deserves a precise estimate.
How are projects estimated?
The estimating process depends heavily on project type and scope. General factors considered include material pricing, anticipated labor cost, subcontractor costs if applicable, required documentation, and special project requirements.
How long does it take to get started?
Typically between 2 weeks and 6 months. Start dates are influenced by design plans, acquiring materials, and permitting timelines in your county.
Does the client need to order any materials or fixtures?
No. We will order any necessary materials after a selection has been made. This is critical to scheduling and jobsite performance — managing the supply chain is part of what we do.
